JIC Spartan DE Type 2 Ti vs. Bullet 505S Ti

two badass full titanium catback exhausts.

the spartan is $1480 and the bullet is $1260

from the pics all I can tell is that the spartan has an oval muffler and a smaller tip.. anybody have more details about these?

Try checking out their website. If it's only in Japanese, give me the URL and I'll translate for you.

The Bullet is an N-1 style "circuit" exhaust. High power and light weight.
The Spartanis a touring style exhaust. High power and good flow, but weight is increased in exchange for greater sound suppression.
Touring style exhausts are all the rage now on tuned street cars in Japan. This is the second Ti touring exhaust that I've seen (the other being the Fujitsubo Legalis R Ti). Hope this helps.

Edit: corrected the names of the exhausts. info is spot on now. sorry for the mix-up

No prob. The tip on the Spartan's probably bigger but the canister shape of the muffler gives the illlusion of it being smaller than the Bullet. Most N-1 style exhuasts are loud, and a few are louder than Hell's Orchestra (the Kakimoto GT1.0Z and Blitz Nur-Spec are two of the most notorious examples).

is the site backwards? in the pic of the bullet it says N1 style canister, and on the spartan page it says the oval canister is quiet?

Oops!!! Sorry about that... what I meant was that the oval-canistered Spartan is quieter, the N-1 style Bullet is louder. Sorry about the mix-up, I was hung up on the Spartan DE Type 1.
I'll edit it right away...

I like the look of the spartan with the blue flamed dual tips. Very sexy!!! No, No, too sexy, too sexy. (SNL)

the oval one is quiet, through use of an internal "silencer" built into the muffler. same technique is used by 5zigen in keeping their exhausts quieter than a traditional N1 muffler. Both type 1 and type 2 utilize a single resonator. type 1 is loud, type 2 is not loud.
