JDM V7 Swap
ok...so i checked out this months import tuner and did a decent amount of looking through the threads but had no luck...does anyone here know where i might find a wiring diagram for swapping in a JDM V7 motor/ecu in to a USDM 02 WRX, i am having the work done at the dealer and they requested a wiring diagram for the hookup of the AVCS. From research it seems that there are only 8 additional wires that need to be run but other than that i can keep the stock harness. They wanted me to get a diagram and any specs on if it is a certain type of wire that needs to be run...anyone information anyone has is more than welcome and very appreciated...thanks a lot guys!!
btw if i dont have this in the right thread let me know please...thanks!!

all I could find in the article was "for the cam angle sensor wiring, we were forced to add four conductor shielded wires. these wires connected to the same ecu plug as the AVCS wires" The picture is on page 60 in the same mag. Its all pretty much right there, its just that its not really a diagram. Good luck.

I don't know if this will help, but it looks like what you would need.

8k red line...
elaborate, here i go.
first off, why would you need to move/remove wires when all you need to do is add. if they for one reason or another need to go back to usdm spec, they are f@*#$(@#$*@#*(ed, and their color code is all jacked up.
one thing about wiring: make it simple enough so someone who did not put it together can figure out whats wrong, if they are given the correct diagram. any good mechnic would sh*T bricks looking at their wiring.
thats my .02, but then again, i am the wire ****.

As you fumble around in the blackess of your driveway one early morning at 2am when its 35degF you will be so happy that you did all the busywork on a warmer afternoon.
