JDM Downpipes...whats out there?
Im doing a Ver 7 STi swap and I do already have a JDM Trust DD catback to use with the JDM stock downpipe. But, in order for me to use the Trust DD catback with an aftermarket downpipe, I need a JDM downpipe, correct? I cant remember which it is, but either the US is longer or shorter than the JDM, so I was wondering whats out there and if anyone knows some good JDM downpipes and where to get them. I know Cusco makes a nice downpipe and that Gruppe-S has them, but it tapers from 3" down to 2.5". I thought I had read somewhere that Helix just came out with some JDM fitment downpipes too but I could be wrong. I would preffer a straight through 3", no taper but I guess my options are a bit limited if I want to use this JDM Trust catback. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the reiteration TQuintin, its lookin like Im gonna be going though Gruppe-S in the end but who knows.

Well, hopefully soon...Im having to wait until after Mt. Hammy because there is absolutely NO time left. Adam had wanted to try and get it done before so we could show case it this comming Sunday but alas, no go. As far as the downpipe issues, Im just thinking ahead because I have to have the JDM ECU remapped anyway for 91 octane, so I figure I might as well just ask Bill from I-Speed to hook it up with an EcuTek, and if Im gonna do that, I want at least a full exhaust system. Like I said above, I already have a JDM Trust DD catback, which will probably end up being WAY too loud, but I have two different types of silencers to try out and see if they deaden it enough. I will keep you all posted about the swap...I will definately be starting a thread, with pics, to cover the entire process.

Hi!
http://www.zerosports.co.jp/
http://www.fujitsubo.co.jp/
we can order both for you, but they are fairly pricey ($350+). Best bang for the buck is the Helix JDM unit. We have about 20 pcs in stock, I can cut you a deal if you're interested
Thanks,
Gary
