IAC install

Maybe a mod can move this to the appropriate forum after I get my answer? I need this information faster than an answer is usually given in the tech forums.

So... I bought a used IAC.

Where is the IAC *image* and how do I install? I got the last step which would be clearing the CPU. Other than that I have no idea. Maybe you can provide a picture of where it is?

Thanks.

On my car it's below and to the left of the throtle body. I'll look on my convertible tomorrow morning.

Here you go, It's a very easy install, maybe 5 minutes, just make sure you have a shop vac to suck out the coolant in your throttle body. Oh and use a big flathead on the mounting screws or they'll strip, sorry I don't have torque specs, it's aluminum so don't get it too tight.

Thanks.

You expect it to be hidden so you look directly past it. Damn thing is in front of your face. It would have been an easy install if those 2 screws weren't made of silly putty. Damn Subaru.

See how long this repair lasts till the CEL comes back.

Please move this mods.

Forget the nomenclature but it is for the IAC.

Funny, the IAC is just one of those poorly designed parts on the Subaru. It seems to be very prone to going out. I have read countless threads on 5 major Subaru boards regarding it being faulty.
