How many wires on 02 WRX o2 sensor

How many wires on 02 WRX o2 sensor

Just need to know what type of o2 sensor the 02 WRXs have on the first (upper ?) o2 sensor. I need to replace one but they are evidently $200 new so I'll use one from another car if I can determine how many wires they have. (I don't have one to look at right now)

It's a 4-wire sensor but you can't just replace it with any other 4-wire unit. It is wideband (why it's so expensive) and has to be replaced with an identical one.
Before you go to the dealer check the classified forums here and over on NASIOC, once in a while someone has one for sale. Post in the wanted forums too.

No offense but are you certain of this? It's for a friends car and I don't want him to spend $200 if it isn't necessary.

Yes, I wouldn't post this on speculation. It's a wideband sensor and not a standard off-the-shelf unit you can buy at the parts store.
Are you certain it needs to be replaced?

He had it tested it it was evidently found to be "sluggish" and "inconsistent". (not sure how it was tested) I'm suspicious that this car was ran with leaded race fuel in the past and that could have contributed to this. Any thoughts?
