How many oil pan bolts?
Hey,
I was wondering how many oil pan bolts there are exactly on a 2003 wrx 2.0L. I have 14 of them off but the ****er still won't come off so im guessing there is one more in the back that i cannot see.
Thanks
Ryan~

I'd advise against prying the pan off.
Use a soft rubber mallet and whap that bleeotch until it breaks free.
It's a silicone seal.
there are 14 bolts holding it on, that shouldn't be overtightened on reassembly.

so there are only 14?
ok.. i have tried beating it with a rubber mallet pushing it back and forth and i even tried using a 90 degree bent pick out of my drum brake tool kit. nothing seems to be working..
120,000 miles of heat on silicone=death to me.

ya, so to take the oil pan off you have to
1. drain the oil
2. remove all 14 oil pan bolts
3. remove headers
4. unbolt oil drain plug and pull it out of the oil pan
5. then take the oil pan off.
