how to install boost gauge and air/fuel guage on 2002 WRX?
I don't know much about cars but I just bought 2 gauges I want to put in.
1) Boost Gauge (mechanical pressure)
2) Air/fuel Gauge (electronic)
3) Autometer 2 gauge pillar
Anyway, I know alot of you have put these in their "babies" and I am wondering if you could point out where I should insert the T tube for the boost gauge and where to tap the O2 sensor for the air/fuel gauge. Pics would be nice
thanks.
I have a pic of my stock car interior..but I can't seem to get the pic into my message!?

To elaborate on the above-
The A/F gauge taps the signal from the rear 02 sensor which does not accurately indicate A/F. The rear sensor is downstream in the exhaust after the first two cats and is present only to monitor the catalyst efficiency. You will get readings from it but they won't give you a true indication of your A/F status, just a nice light show.
The gauge can't be connected to the front (true A/F) sensor because it's a different type (wideband) and produces a different output that the gauge can't use.
The only accurate A/F gauges are the ones that use their own dedicated wideband 02 sensor mounted in the exhaust ahead of the cats.

I put the exact 2 gauges and pod in my 02 WRX, I will be at the meet at rally in edmonton next saturday, (sept 27/02). I can show you in person if you like. <that is if you havn't already>
But a heads up, I did the same thing when I first bought my car, the A/F gauge is basically useless, but looks neat. But more importantly if you ever plan on taking your cat out in the down pipe, you will have to do a CEL fix, so your A/F gauge will not work.
Just a little heads up.... take it back before you install it and get an EGT guage....Unless you plan on keeping your cat in you DP

I almost forgot, I think we have the same pod, and if it's black, I have the matching grey paint thats made for interior plastic. I have a pint if you need some

What is EGT?
What are good gauges to get for a rex?
I was thinking a oil temp, and some others... but what?
I already have the factory boost gauge, so I don't need that...
I kinda want to have it on the A pillar and also gauges where you can stick the DEFI gauge pod... 6 gauges would be neat...hehehe
