Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Its really hard to say... I think my comments to Cyrus about just going for gusto and getting the UTEC is in regards doing things right the first time and actually not wasting money in the future. What you should do is ask yourself "What are my tuning goals?"

If you want a bit more boost without causing any great fueling problems and you dont want to go around changing your boost levels all the time... you just want a little bit more punch, then really, get the MBC and add no more than 1 or 1.5 psi. (Yes, I know, Vaus ). Save lotsa $.

If you want to really gain some power and do things right, then get the UTEC or reflash. You'll get the most for your $. If you want to learn a lot about tuning, get a UTEC. If you want power w/o and hassle, get the reflash. (I have the UTEC. I love hassle ).

Buying just an EBC (or MBC) to get any real power is really an old, poor way to do tuning. They were meant to be used in conjunction with other products that controlled fuel delivery as well. If you get one real tuning tool without the other, its just not worth the money nor the effort in my opinion.
