HKS Air Filter For WRX (Pic)

this is the Christmas gift for my WRX Wagon. HKS Air filter. I bought it when I went to Hong Kong for vacation. As the sales said, this air filter is better than the traditional K&N filter and easier to clean. You can take the green part out and just wash and dry it. the salesman said most of the Japanese performace cars in Hong Kong using this instead of traditional K&N one.

I'm gonna install it after I back home. ^_^

Here are some pictures ! ^^

Just info, but you get the exact same filter when you order it here in the states. Same packaging in Japanese writing. Just a heads up, but I dont know how you feel about the sealing edges of the filter. There is nothing other than hard plastic at the edges of the filter and of course hard plastic (filter) against hard plastic (airbox) doesnt seal well. I went to the local auto parts place and bought a small roll of weather striping, trimmed it & applied it to the outer edge of the filter that contacts the upper air box lid. I didnt feel comfortable w/the filter sealing out dirt before that. I've never heard anything about reusing this filter, and that its a replacement item. You may want to double check before cleaning & reusing. The cotton isn't that durable. I've been happy w/it.
