So everybody reading this please give me your opinion on what i should do.
I know, i know it's kind of a lot to read but please give me your input. Anything will do!

Ok first things first i will tell you what happened. I got a ticket "NON-Correctable One" the second day i had my Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust put on. So i drive everywhere and cops see me all the time when i had my Greddy evo 2 on and never got hassled! Got a ticket for modified exhaust "Excessive noise from muffler". My mods are catless up/downpipe, blitz nur spec r catback with resonator. I told the cop i bought it online and is under the legal limit of 95 DB's. which i knew it wasn't LOL. So the officer then had me rev it at 3k RPM (Hold it there for a few sec) took 2 different sound clips which isn't really legal to judge by noise level. Db tests must be done in a sound eliminating environment (so i read online). Then i was on my way straight to a local speaker shop where they conducted 2 more db test's. My exhaust put out 89-91 db's? The setting at the time i got pulled over was mid-day, i have light tinted windows (None on the Front), i was cruising normally, shifting at low RPM's, the exhaust is also hi-temp painted black all the way to the tip. BUT im more than certain he pulled me over cause i had 4 ppl in my car including me LOL. So a couple days pass after i put my car back to stock for smog purposes. I put my Blitz exhaust on my stock dp and go to the CHP to get a db test done even though my initial test i had my catless downpipe on (They don't know that though). It put out 85db at idle and 100db at 3k RPM!!!. Im going to court asking why i didn't get a fix-it ticket and them tell me to put a silencer in it. The only fix-it ticket i got on this car was one for not have a front plate. Which i fixed and didn't have to pay.

What are my options:

Pay $190 Ticket!!??

Could i trade someone exhaust's and then go back and get another sound test done? Then go to court?

I don't want to get a silencer and not like the sound of it. Because once my exhaust gets below 95db i can keep the paper on me proving to other officer's it is under 95db in case i get pulled over again.

Anyone want to trade me exhaust from the catback? Something a little quieter than the Blitz but not stockish sounding?

the exhaust you put on is hella loud... gota pay to play... they tested and its 5db over the limit... and you already knew that...

 

Ya i knew it was, but im still wondering why he didn't just give me a fix-it ticket? if i put a silencer in it im sure it will be under 95db.

 

Bump for my old car. just put a silencer on it.

 

ya i guess thats my only option... then go to chp to show them its under 95db.. then to court to make it a fix-it ticket... hey maybe the cop won't even show up!!!
