Help me list all possible boost leaks
I'm trying to compile a comprehensive list of all possible boost leaks to look for on an EJ205, stock or otherwise. Here are my initial contributions:
compressor to wastegate actuator (a la GotBoost?)
compressor to intercooler hoses
BOV flange/gasket
BOV itself
BOV boost-read line
intercooler to throttlebody hose
throttlebody gasket to intake manifold
intake manifold to FRP hose
intake manifold to BCS/BOV (I can't recall if this is the same line, need to go home and trace it)
crankcase venting hoses (why? why not?)
valvecover venting hoses (why? why not?)
What am I missing?

the vacuum lines for the wastegate actuator.
they wont really cause the boost pressure to leak.....but could dramatically affect how the turbo spools, or doesn't spool and creates boosting issues (if the wastegate is stuck open/closed.)
I dont believe there are any boost/vacuum lines on the throttle body

good catch.
What about low load AFRs? Would such a leak afffect it?
me niether.

Hey what about the whole Exhaust system as well?
I guess that's an exhaust leak but it affects boost as well.
I just started hearing a hella high whining noise that's not my turbo spooling. It starts when boost kicks in at roughly 2500-3000 and goes up with boost pressure...sucks!
I just noticed it and am at the office so will have to check tonight.

Sounds like you have an uppipe leak.
And exhaust leaks are exhaust leaks, not boost leaks. It might affect boost, but its not a boost leak. Exhaust leaks affect power, and not much more. A boost leak means that combustion has less air present than the MAF has alread told the ECU to expect. I.e. its a common cause for running rich despite good tuning. If boost is low because of a boost leak, at least the ECU is still doing the right thing.
