hezlok- the Helix Down-pipe/ Borla Hush TBE combo is really stealthy. It's not nearly as loud as a Helix/HKS Exhaust combo, yet you still reap the gains from having a full 3" TBE. As for running a Catted DP compared to a Catless DP, approximately 5-10 WHP is lost. The upside to running a Catted DP is that you don't have that strong exhaust odor, especially during startups.

I just got this setup (w/ catted DP) installed on my sti and tuned saturday....251hp and 263tq on a mustang dyno w/ a UTEC. Sounds GREAT and still fairly quiet...no freeway drone either.

I bought mine from Soren...A+ service from them.

hezlok- on a Mustang Dyno, the Catless Up/Down-pipe w/ 3" Catback Exhaust system will yield approximately 25-30 WHP.

Does LA have emissions? I currently live in Hawaii, with no emissions but a safety check which is equally as annoying. But my question is, im thinking of running a similar set up, does the catted down pipe pass emissions? Would the catless? I applied to a job in Washington (Seattle) where they have emissions. I tried the forums in the Pac NW but got not response. Thanks in advance.

WA does have emissions (sniffer) but not till the car is 5 years old. I am not sure if this applies to you since you would be transfering the title from hawaii to washington.
