Ok Ill admit polish looks good if you put headers on the market pleas make sure that they clear the frame equal lengths is always good too
actually, the amount of radiated heat will be lower from a polished part than one with a flat black finish.

a good thing to remember is that heat radiates from a surface in the same proportion to the rate that heat is absorbed from radiation. thus, flat black both radiates and absorbs heat faster than does a white part, which radiates and absorbs heat faster than does a mirror finish part.

(for more info, look up blackbody radiation.)

now, the ceramic coating acts more like an insulator in that the conduction of heat through the walls of the pipe itself is decreased, which will probably lead to the best retention of energy within the pipe.

i'd be very disappointed if what brett from renick is saying is true...if you can sell it for such a low price, keep it at that......from a business standpoint, yeah, you can price it higher to make $$$, and let's be honest, that's why u started the business to begin with....

but think bout it....if you guys can afford to sell these things at the low price of 335....you'd own the market.......

agreed
not a good idea to introduce a good product at such a low price and then double the price after the first few are out the door.

if you are going to sell them for $~600 or ~700 then sell them at that price, but don't tell people, if you got the money right now you can have one for half price everyone else pays double! not good business if you ask me.

either way it's a nice piece at a reasonable price. depending on what the price ends up being, i would like to pick up one myself.

That introductory price is great, and makes sense considering the cost of a N/A Subaru borla header (under $300) and how they both seem to have a simular amount of material and construction invovled...

But $700+ just sounds insane... Whats the point when other headers can be had for less and with a better design?

$400 would be the most I would expect anyone to pay for it.

Borla Cat-Back

Hey Dave,

I know this is a little off-topic, but do you have any dyno charts available for just your Cat-Back exhaust on the 2002 WRX? I'm fixin to get it, and I wanted to know what kind of gains I could expect. By the way, I just love the Borla sound. Nice and mean, just like a WRX should be.
Thanks.
