Gutting your Downpipe w/performance results
Ok, here is the deal. Dan (dand42 on nasioc) e-mailed me a couple of days ago with pictures of his gutted downpipe and instructions on how to do it. So I worked up a page on my website for yet another way to save money.
I ask him if he would dyno test it before and after but it's just not a cost effective solution for us on a budget. So the next best thing was to time the car in several different gears without shifting. The chart below shows the speed improvement from removing (gutting) the factory cats from the Upipe and Downpipe.
Pretty good results for such a cheap mod!
