gut up pipe/reflash WARRANTY?
im gonna try 2 keep warranty bc i know it will help me in the long run (100,000 7 year)
my question is if i gut my up pipe is it that easy for the factory to tell
my second question is my friend has a reflashed ecu and he had a check up and the factroy didnt find it becasue it was the same ecu just reflashed (vishnu)
basicly im trying to get power w/ not many mods and voiding warranty

Well both of those mods could easily get you in warranty trouble. It all depends on the dealer's stance on mods and how deep they look at each car. You could argue that both of those are fairly inconspicuous, but any Subaru tech will be able to spot them quickly. If you're going to mod your car, be prepared to have Subaru deny you warranty work. If you want to feel absolutely certain that they will honor your warranty, keep the car stock.

go to a dealer that installs/supports aftermarket mods. Or maybe Call Vishnu. I think I read on their site that they provide a 5yr warranty (which is unheard of in the aftermarket). So maybe if something does break they might throw in a few chips to help w/ the repairs.

Cobb claims that their re-flash, or accessport, cannot be detected.
I have both the Accessport stg.2 and gutted pipe, and it sure is worth taking the chance, in the form of grin's!
