Greddy BOV 04 wrx problems
Hey guys, I just installed the Type S Greddy Blow Off Vavle.... having some problems:
When I accelerate and the turbo spools up, after I let off the gas, the Blow Off Valve sounds occurs slightly (silently since it recycles) but there seems to be too much air pushed back through that the turbo is either spinning the opposite way or air is pushed out of the intake. There is defentely a power loss.
The turbo does spool all the way up to full boost as it did before. I've tweaked with the HARD and SOFT adjustment on the BOV, with no luck. Regardless of where it's set I get some sort of version of this problem. When it is more on the HARD side, another sound occurs during higher boost (.05 +) that sounds like a little kid screaming.
The sound of the wind focing back through the turbo does occur even if the turbo doesn't spool up (slight acceleration).
Not sure what happened, BOV appears to be installed as specified. There is the bottom needle on the left that doesn't have a hose hooked up to it, but directions didn't mention anything about it or does there seem to be anything to hook to it.
Anyone have directions on how to fix this? Or directions on how to install the Greddy BOV so I can make sure I got the right ones.
Thanks for any help.

UPDATE
Hey guys and girls, I took apart the BOv and removed the small spring (Be careful if you do this.. luckely I had a set of extra hands). Now the fluttering sound and loss of power is gone. The BOV makes the sound it's suppose to make and I can fine tune it now using the adjustment.
However, the winning kid sound is still there, so obviousely there is a leak someplace. I didn't accidently cut any holes anywhere, so I'll have to investigate this one. I may have to take everything apart and put it back togther in hopes that I find it.
Thanks!
