Were there any problems with leaving them off and cutting the tube off?

it'll be fine w/ the tube back on....I think I just bought longer hose to bridge the gap where the tube was at.

I actually did this over the weekend. I took the GBOD's off, grinded the tube extension off of the driver's side bracket, took a **** on the brackets and put the tube back in place. So far so good. I get tuned on wednesday.

If you look at the driver's side GBOD, you will see that a metal tube is attached to it via a couple tacks. You need this metal tube in order to run the vent tube that comes off of the driver's side valve cover/case. You can either cut the metal tube off and re-use it, or just put in a plastic fitting that you can connect the existing rubber tubing to.

I chose the cut off method because it was very manly and made me feel like a god.
