Gas mileage lower AFTER 90K maintenance and timing belt change
Hi all,
I recently had my timing belt replaced and did the 90K maintenance on my 02 WRX sedan. It's been around 2500 miles since then (did them both at 99,000) and ever since, my gas mileage has gone down. Before I was getting 23-24 mpg, but now I'm getting 18-19. Not a huge difference, but it shouldn't go down after major maintenance. Before I take it into the shop, I wanted to see if anyone had suggestions on what's causing it.
Thanks in advance everyone,
Eric

they definitely didn't disconnect the battery, because all my settings on my radio (presets, eq, crossover, etc) didn't reset. I can see them writing down the present info before (and then set them after they were done), but not the eq settings or crossover settings. No mechanic is that nice! (Though I would use him if they existed!)
