fuel pump whine?

ok I just finished my vf 34 install with pinks and walbro.
I now have a wine coming from the rear of my car. Is it the pump?
I have no idea.
car starts fine, I have yet to drive it. all I have done so far is primed the turbo and let it idle.
the wine lasts about 4 secs when I turn the key to the on position(even if I dont crank it)
thanks for any help
chris

That is the pump. The Walbro is significantly louder than the stocker, especially when it primes the system after you turn the key.

My VF30 break-in consisted of driving to the dyno.

Where did you get the 300 mile figure? There really isn't a whole lot to break-in.

Several websites suggest different amount of miles to break in the turbo.
I chose 300 miles as an average
here is deadbolt's break in

I want to err on the side of caution.

FYI the prime the line loud when it is normally driving means you have had it on for 20 hours and you need to let it rest hahah

please forgive my noobism, but judging by those instructions, I'm assuming that you're suppose to break in an aftermarket turbo without getting a custom tune (i.e WOT dyno pulls) first?

yeah you are supposed to stay outta boost for the first couple hundred miles. some people get away with WOT dyno pulls to break in a new turbo..... I didnt want to take the chance, so its safe to say breaking in a turbo with low boost it a safer way.
