damn... thats a nice gain for such a cheap exhaust. I've been looking for a catback, I might have to check this out.
Urm.. they list it for a 02 WRX but not an 03
There the same car basically, so I would assume it would fit anyway.

That is a pretty cheap price for an exhaust, but look at the diameter of the piping 2.25 inches. That can't be much bigger than stock, and the only gains you may see are from a freer flowing muffler and straighter pipes. Piping this size could really limit you if you decide on modding more down the road.

Hello,
I purchased a Flowmaster axle back system for my 02 WRX from my local Meineke shop.
Installation was a snap, but the fit of the system was actually very poor. It ended up rubbing on some of the heat shielding. I took it back to the Meineke guys and they agreed that the fit was not very good. I contacted Fowmaster and they thought that maybe I got a bad one (not put in the jigs properly).
I personally didn't like the sound of the Flowmaster on my WRX. Don't know how to explain it. The butt dyno didn't register any performance gains.
In the end I returned the unit and put an APS turbo-back on.

I recently purchased the Flowmaster system from Planetperformance. Despite what the ad says, it is only an axle-back, not a cat-back.
That said, I did notice a little improvement in performance. However, it is nowhere near what their website states. I have no idea where they got that info.
The sound is fantastic. Sounds almost like a small V8 rather than a 4-banger.
I have not had any problems with rubbing so I think burt_poppenga must have gotten a bad one.

Please ignore the trailer hitch in the photos.
