Feedback on Turboxs RFL bov
Ok if you happened to ready my previous post, I seem to be having a small problem after installing a Turboxs RFL bov on my WRX. It seems the car almost hesitates or stumbles ever so slightly when I lightly hit the gas and get off the gas, it also seems that it jerks a lot more between shifting, its pretty strange. I know it has to do with the bov becuase I put the stock one back on and even borrowed a freinds "forge" bov and they run fine. ANy ideas on what it may be. I was thinking it had to do with the installation, do I need to use those metal rings that the adapter kit comes with, because I didnt. Thanks for any feedback.

even the stock BOV is good enough, except i guess if you wanna up the boost. but i've been hearing nothing but good reviews for the HKS SS and almost nothing but bad reviews for the H-RFL, and i was gonna go TXS too. =\

A properly working stock bov will hold 25psi Easily.
There is no need to upgrade unless you have a faulty unit, want the sound, have a big a$$ turbo running 30something psi, or have a FMIC, ... even some of those kits have the 'stock bov' flange on the ic piping.
I also had the TurboXS Type-H bov, ... with no problems at all. People I know that have have not had problems either.

Can't you stiffen up the unit by adding washers in it like the Type-H? I had only a Type-H and it didn't give me a problem. But alas the little backfires and the the rich condition between shifts caused me to sell it eventually.
You dont need a BOV unless you want to sound good. It does nothing for performance what so ever.

I've run up to 19 lbs with the stock BOV with no problems full boost comes on at 3000 and holds til redline, but then again I'm not into the performance "psssstch" sound while I'm driving nor do I have a fmic.
