anyone know if on spring bolts that connect a dp to the cat back are necessary?
i ask cause when i installed my dp i ran into a problem (long story) and i had to use slightly smaller bolts without the springs. i drove around for about 2 weeks and everything seems fine but i was wondering if one day a year from now something will break.
do the springs really absorb that much movement? i'm just wondering if the exhaust bounces around that much that it could work itself loose.
i apoligize for lame question but its been bothering me for a while. anyone got an opinion on this?

thats not lame im using ford studs on my turbo hehe

as long as it doesnt leak it should be fine. there are rubber exhaust hangers that let it move also

I believe those springs are there to keep donut gasket in place when you have the stock dp and cat-back. I'm guessing your not using your donut gasket anymore with that aftermarket dp. You shouldn't worry about keeping those springs.
