Exhaust question (catless too loud?)

I was riding around in my friends 03 with Cobb Stg 2, headers with uppipe, a Godspeed down pipe and Greddy Evo. I didn't think it was that loud at all. Louder then stock of course, but no where near as annoying as my old neon with a header, no cat and muffler.
He said that he used to have a Thermal Exhaust, but that was way loud, so he got the Evo.

I have both the helix up and down pipe with a borla hush out back. It is not very loud at idle, but when you're getting on the freeway everyone will notice it. BTW: I passed a CHP car on a freeway on ramp and he could have cared less, so maybe its not as loud as I thought.
