Espiler JGT 500 question

I have the espiler jgt 500 catback on my 04 sti. its originally made for the 2002 2003 wrx, but works with the sti. i was wondering if anyone has cut out the resonator of the jgt and replaced it with a straight pipe? if so, how does it sound? and more drowning?

thanks

I don't know of anyone that's done that specifically, but having listened to some catbacks that come w/o resonators, yeah, it's pretty damn loud and there's almost sure to be highway drone. My 2 cents.
