engine stutter at half throttle

if i am around half-throttle, the engine does not pull real smoothly, mostly between 2k-4.5k. if i am at low throttle or wot this problem doesnot appear. i thought it had to do with the grounding mod (i had 8gauge wires added) so i replaced them with 4gauge, the weird thing is after i connected the negative cable back on it ran smoothly for about 50 miles, then it reverted back to the stuttering. does anyone have a clue?

my related mods are:
turboxs utec ecu (stage3 map)
catless up & dp
silencer mod & k&n filter
boost is set at about 15.5psi
aps tmic
my current grounding setup is like the one from scoobymods (http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/sho...ight=grounding)

check you utec

Sounds to me like your utec program needs a tweak. Give Nathan a call and run it by him. Or check with the guys on wrxhacker.com.

When you checked your grounds you did an ECU reset, over time it learned something that makes the programing error show up. If I had to guess your a bit too lean in that rpm range.

I have the same problem going on with my 01 2.5RS.
It is really beginning to make me p?s!xx off.
I did the grounding mod this week and it started driving smother for a few days. Idle was still rough, Then yesterday I started getting what seems like fuel cut?When driving in the 2.5K to 3K range at 5 to 10% throtle I loose all power and RPM's stry to drop. the only way to stop from droping is to give more throtle, then once past 3K all power regains and launches the car (4K is even worse ). It has not thrown CEL ye either.
