i was offered an sti 2.5l engine trans and diff cheap and was wondering what was involved in the swap please let me know more about the conversion

What do mean when you say cheap? I want the sti transmission, you mean the 6MT right, just wanted to know how much you are paying for yours.

i really wanted to know what u had to do to make it work it has everything harness ecu trans eng axles driveshaft and rear diff i wanted to know if anyone has done the conversion and could tell me if i needed anything more to do it and maybe steps

i am a tech and i do know how to do alot but i never did a swap on a wrx so i was wondering what kinda problems maybe some people who did the swap had so i wont have them


oh and when i say cheap im not selling them i will be using them for myself sorry

it'd be work, but (at least in my opinon) it'd be worth it. having the rear diff makes it a hell of a lot easier, since you don't have to go out and find one with the right gearing. i'd say if you have two friends with some mechanical skills, tools, jack stands etc. you can do it if you're motivated.

**** jack stands i have a lift i work in a dealership with a whole setup with shop equipment trans jacks engine hoist me and my buddy i was just inquiring if there were any additional parts needed other than the running gear and the labor

i think that's it. All I know is that the STi tranny swap is a lot easier if you have the complete drivetrain, and that people are doing the 2.5 swap left and right....

dont forget axles, diffs and the likes of the ENTIRE drivtrain as well as motor, ecu, smog sensors and all that stuff
