EJ20 max hp on stock internals.
Any one know how much hp the stock ej20 can handle? I got a guy with all your basic bolt on mods turbo, cooler etc.. Says he's pushin 315 whp. I have all the same mods and I'm pushin 267 whp. Which is pretty hard all ready but 315 on an EJ20 with no internal mods. I'm thinkin if it's true his motor will be broke soon @ that power.
Give me some thoughts on this.
Thanks, T.

Breath in through your nose
breath out through your mouth..
Do you have his complete mod list?
Yea I could see 300+ using stock internals. It's been done.

I don't know him. My buddy met him some were and told him he's going to s-s to have it dyno tuned but I don't know if it's on pump or race gas. I had a dyno reflash at s-s too on pump gas and got 267whp. 315whp is not achievable on pump gas is it? Not safely any ways from what s-s told me. Nate said that I'm already pushin it with my 20psi reflash. And that is the most I should go power wise @ 267whp. It just seemed far feched on a daily driver with barely any fuel mods.
Thanks for the info, T.

Ummm
I didn't see a list of mods, but with:
walbro
sti injectors
perrin rails
vf43
utec
catless up/down pipe
hks carbon ti
TXS front mount
aem short ram
koyo rad
cooler thermostat
and a bunch of stuff that has nothing to do with power like different spark plug, ground wires, etc.
I put down 310whp on 18psi with 93, on a nice day (about 80)
I wouldn't focus on the biggest dyno number's, most of the time it is not usable, most people would rather have usable power then have a dyno queen.
Also, 20psi on 91! it is amazing that you still have a stock engine that has moving parts. PS i hope you have a knock link
