dry ice??

when i go to the track, it seems like my intercooler gets way to hot causing my times to become slower throughout the night...

the sitting in line causes my turbo to make the intercooler get to hot to touch..

i tried Ice, but it just melts in less than 60 seconds

so im thinking maybe dry ice will help..

if anyone has some advice against or for this please post..

thanks
ryan~

but in cold or cold intercooler i can run lower 13's...

so i need a cold intercooler so i can show this cocky mother ****er up...
in class today he was all, "I just can't see it doing below my V8" and i just told him to not underestimate the car...

cause i need something or else i will have to deal with his crap...

I'd say just run meth injection. Not a solution I would choose myself, but if you want to be that aggressive with the car, you need to make that move. Second would be a CO2 ring sprayer mounted on the intercooler, but (as noted) that will crack the intercooler over time. Nitrous would work, but that's the worst solution for turbo motors IMO; getting a clean shot of a reliable, repeatable amount of NOS is surprisingly hard to do, given the variables of temperature, pressure and air density.

You might be disappointed in a water spray on the intercooler, that will only work while moving (needs air to drive evaporation) and after about 30 minutes, the water in the tank will be just as hot as everything else under the hood (unless you get the trunk-mounted tank). If all else fails, dare the loudmouth idiot to a race on a dirt road or in gravel, that will shut him up.

i already tried the dirt thing.. hes to ****ing "manly" as put in his words, to race off road.. the tank is mounted in the trunk with some water wetter...

looks like it may help while sitting...

if anything.. ill put ice on it before i race, and then use the Ic sprayer to keep the ice cold as ****...

he is one of those guys that thinks a Japanese car can never be fast, so i think im gunna go onto my 93 octane map to shut his *** up, since i know that map runs 13's no prob...

Have you considered doing a fmic with a new 93 octane map?
Just an idea though as the tmic's get heat soaked pretty quick.
The best of luck at the track man.
