Well, when you see a CHP roll up behind you and his/her cabin starts glowing in red.. You are being scanned for cats.. Too Late.. Put your head inbetween your legs and pray..

did you keep your stock heatshield? if you do just modify it so that you can cover at least a part of the dp so that popos wont really look at it.
i just got pulled over a week ago they asked me to pop my hood and everything but they didnt notice that i was running catless so i guess im just lucky but yeah just try not to rev up high when running catless
the cons of having that is if you dont have engine management youll get misfiring or boost creep lol so avoid racing if you dont have em and yeah its too loud attracts unwanted attention if you know what i mean.

Even with engine managment, you could very possibly get boost spiking (especially catless).
It's a meachanical issue that I have right now(it sucks).
solutions are returning to stock, add a cat, wastegate porting of your turbo, or EWG(External Waste Gate).
Some pro-tuning can act as a temporary patch.

What is boost creep exactly. I just installed a RS*R downpipe to my RS*R GT2 exhaust, and lately, i can hear the boost from outside and I dont know if its me, but sometimes I can smell a little burning smell, kind of like brake/rubber burning. And what is the waste gate porting? Thanks. PM please.

im running daily driven with non cat i think as long as you dont really gun the **** out of your car youll be safe. a friend of mine has a 06 sti we have the same setup but he got his more than a year ago and he didnt have any tune until now but his sti runs ok no weird noises.

OP you'll be fine. We are lucky with bugeyes they aren't too fussy when you add an exhaust or dp.
If you really want to feel your mods go get it tuned with a basemap or custom tune.
