Question crush washer and gasket

About to change my oil but need to run to checker first. What size crush washer and gasket do I need for the drain plug?

I really think the crush washer thing is a myth. I have yet to change mine after about 6 oil changes. In fact I dont recall even seeing one on the car...

Since you live in Milillani why not go to Waipahu Subaru?

It's not a myth. Crush washers were developed for a reason. They allow you to tighten the nut without having to overtorque it to prevent leaks. It provides a buffer (for lack of a better term) between the oil pan and the nut. If I'm not mistaken, the stock Subaru oil filters come with a new washer. Regardless, it should be replaced at every oil change.

Sorry.....can't help you with the appropriate size.

Regards,
Kean

Best to just get one of these anyway and never have to deal with the washer again:

All for the good of the Scooby community, that's what I tell my wife anyway. Actually, if you look at a lot of my pics, you'll notice I use that little square of rug frequently. Makes for a background that is white for good contrast but not shiny.
