Cracked head gasket :'(
i have a cracked head gasket so my suby just drinks engine coolant. the Subaru dealer wants 3-3.5k to fix it. anyone recommend a shop or know someone that can do it for less?
i need this done asap as im in college and have a busy schedule

Hm, it only cost me $2200 to have a head and cam gasket replacement from my Subaru dealer for our 2.5l Legacy wagon...

Sorry to hear of your catastrophic event as I rarely ever
see or hear of cracked head gaskets I hope you are able to
get your vehicle fixed soon.
My subjestion is to get your suby fixed by one of the reputable
vendors on this forum that is in your area.
My recommendation is to have a new clutch installed since
everything will be apart and it will save you labor in the future.
For 3-3.5K you could actually purchase a new engine that's
a very high quote you got in my opnion.
Plan on some down time though!
