Could someone please tell me how a MBC works?
I am really confused here, I mean I guess I thot I knew alot about cars which I do on NA motors I guess, anyway I am havin probs here tryin to figure out if I need a MBC or not? I really have no clue as to what kind to get if I need one or even how you install the thing? Can you put them on a stock motor or does ohter mods have to be done? What is the purpose of these?
Sorry for the dumb questions I am Jus really havin a crisis on tryin to figure things out kinda sucks.

A manual boost controller is basically a way to trick your factory boost controller into holding more boost. It's okay to run one on a stock motor as long as you have boost and EGT gauges. One problem you're likely to run into with a MBC is part throttle high boost which is when your turbo is putting out max boost at part throttle causing your engine to run dangerously lean. This can cause the pre-cat in your uppipe to melt and ruin your turbo.
Hint: Next time use the search button. There is a ton of information in the archives, you just have to take the time to look for it.
