Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Just put it in this weekend.
dropped 4/10's from my 1/4 mile time. (14.3 - 13.9)
added 3MPH on my 1/4 mile trap speed (93 - 96MPH)
Better boost response
higher boost
smoother top-end
definitely worth the ~$450 I paid for the reflash and shipping. Plus, Cobb has EXCELLENT customer service.

A search on this topic will yield quite a bit of useful information. The concensus is that it's well worth the price. I have stage 2 with uppipe, turboback, and IC hoses. It's the best mod I've done so far.

i know my car will be smoother and safer, but do you think it will be faster with the cobb ecu instead of my MBC at 15 and a turboback?

I've got the same mods, plus an underdrive pulley. definitely the best mod (the AccessECU, that is). Next would have to be my IC hoses. who'd have thought that those little silicon hoses would make such a diffference in boost response???

Just to let you guys know, Etchy lives in hawaii where 1/4 times are typically .5-.4 sec slower then on the mainland.....Here, the typical WRX runs 14.9 stock, with good driver.
