Catted Downpipes

Is there much of a difference between the Invidia and Cobb catted downpipes? I noticed some dp's are much cheaper than these? Are Invidia and Cobb that much better?

Thanks,

Zach

All DP are loud, but Invidia is more, I believe, known to be louder and "better" because of its quality.

The Cobb only comes in 2.5" donut gasket, which (unless used with an adapter) will limit your choice of catbacks to virtually only SPT/Cobb/Borla Hush and a couple others in that ballpark. If I remember correctly, the Invidia comes with 3" flange.

a big part of the huge price differences is whether it has a cat or not. invidia catted are like ~500, non-catted, like ~300 new

cobb also places the cat lower right before the rear 02 sensor. most other (if not everyone else) places the cat on the vertical portion of the dp. the cobb dp also has a 02 bung already made on top for a WB 02 sensor. both invidia and cobb are made with high quality materials, and produce the same power on any dyno, cobb is just a little better engineered. note that you can mate any 3in catback to the tapered 2.5in donut flange no problem, but if you know that you are going to run a full 3in catback, just go with the invidia

The quality and construction of the Cobb Tuning
downpipes are excellent.I know the catted version Cobb
downpipe have a good quality catalytic converter on them
because mine has lasted a long time. The fitment of the Cobb
downpipe is perfect and that is what I like the most about mine.
