I believe you can if the factory map was stored in the XEDE. Reading CupertinoSteve's comments, I'm not sure how a re-flash will affect this if we try to restore the factory map. Being able to change maps back to stock is one of the reasons I'd spring for the XEDE.

Does the Xede REMAIN in the car after flashing the E.C.U?
XEDE remains in the car. It doesn't actually re-flash the ECU. It piggybacks the ECU, but it is much more sophisticated than the Unichip.

Is the Stage Sub 0 map the same map I would get if I sent in my E.C.U for Reflash?
Pretty much, except for the advantages that CupertinoSteve cited about having both an EcuTek re-flash and XEDE.

My sentiments, exactly. We wouldn't be cheating the system. It will generate numbers like the Low Emission Vehicle that it is. But, just for an hour.

If I can get a free re-test from the smog station, I might run it with the Stage 0 map, just to have the emission readings to compare to stock. Without a load on the engine, it might not be too bad.
