Burning Smell???
Hi, I recently traded in my Outback Sport for a 04 WRX, and I'm not to familiar with turbo cars. One thing I did notice is a pretty bad burning smell when I really get on it and rev the engine and pop the clutch. Is this something I should be concerned with? Clutch??

I think what the others are referring to is the cosmolene that is coated on various components under and around your car. It's to prevent corrosion while it's being shipped to it's destination. It will burn off in time.
However, your post makes me tend to believe it could be the clutch that you're smelling if it's only during your "high-rev" launches that you mentioned.
Personally, I wouldn't suggest "popping" the clutch. It's not good for the car and could result in disappointing consequences down the road.
