brullen cat back fit
I bought a brullen cat back for my 2002 WRX and I have been having much trouble with the fit. It does not seem to mate to the cat portion of the exhaust. On the said portion there is a gasket that is coned shaped that fits in to the stock resonator portion. The brullen half does not match this gasket. when this gasket is removed it will some what align to the stock cat but does not seem to complete the seal.
All said I am having exhaust leakage problems.
Please Help

Im not too familiar with this system but try searching this forum and other subaru forums for this problem. I'll bump this back up to the top anyways so others can see. Seems like you're missing a connection of some kind for the exhaust to match with the OEM donut gasket. Try calling brullen to see if they screwed up. Get your money back if they didn't and get a new exhaust if possible.

I searched a little for you....
Are you sure this is supposed to be just a catback system? Maybe they screwed up and send you some parts from there turbo back system because i found these pics:

See how the resonator pipe would connect to the cat pipe section? According to the pics (if this is your exhaust) it seems that the brullen resonator pipe fits only the brullen cat puipe section...you know what i mean? It seems that they screwed you out of a part, shipped the wrong exhaust for the wrong model car, or shipped you a different system than you requested.

I bought the exhaust a while back. They did first send me the wrong mid-pipe that was for the turbo back system and that looked like it was a receptical for a cone shaped gasket. The new mid-pipe that was sent did not have a cone shaped receptical portion. it was straight and just alligned to the hole of the cat portion, but only with the gasket removed. with the gasket on it was never going to make any kind of mating connection. thus this implementation did not allow for any flexablity in that joint. to stop the leaking i used high temp sealent but that only worked for a short period of time.
how much did option 2 set you back.
