just keep with your stocker... its capable of holding up to 19psi... and also the BOV is made for the car, so it can only help it, as other can other hurt it... use the search button, there has been probably over 200 threads that have been started about aftermarket vs stock bov...

What kind of engine management are you going to be running? Actually in most cases you are going to want to stick with your stock bypass valve or something similar as it recirculates the air back into the intake. Not sure you already know this, but your car runs with a MAF (mass air flow) sensor which detects the amount of air you are getting before the turbo. If you run with a blow off valve, it releases the air into the atmosphere instead of back into the intake. Your ECU still thinks you are getting all that air so it still uses the same amount of fuel as if it were recirculated. You then will be running rich, which will lead to backfires (flames if you don't have any cats) and poor performance usually.

You can still get a bypass valve to be loud by installing a short ram intake and some sort of turbo inlet hose. Obviously it won't be as loud as like an HKS BOV, but it'll be a lot more noticable.

hes getting his fmic on and to keep the stocker hed have to fabricate a new flange and run new hose to the stock recirculation hose.
you want something loud?

hks sqqv - its high pitched and well made and durable. it rubs the hood and eventually makes a hole in the under layer of it. if you dont like the high pitch you can get a insert for it made by hks. makes it a woosh

turbo xs rfl - very loud woosh. has problems and lets out too much air which makes idle problems. to fix it you have to add washers to the bottom of the spring. cheaply made and has problems when the bov pops off of the flange and you get no boost.

Blitz super sound dd - very well made. no rubbing and a good woosh sound. not as loud as sqqv and turboxs.

Sard r2d2 - same company as blitz. very loud almost pigeon like sound. very well made no problems. uses the same flange as the blitz if you wanna buy it seperate.

Greddy - not very loud. but very well made.

these are the best ones imo.

Well I guess it really depends on what type of FMIC he's getting installed. I've delt with both the Perrin and TurboXS and they allow you to use the stock bypass valve. The APS kit allows you to use the stock bypass valve as well. If it's a custom kit then trying to run the stock valve would take some fabrication like you mentioned.

If all you want is a loud BOV, then go with one of the ones NeRdY DoRkUs listed.

EDIT: sorry, the TurboXS FMIC kit has its own bypass valve that is included, but it still uses the factory recirculation hose.

i was under the impression that WORX makes a really good 50/50 BOV, wouldn't that be better than a 100% atmospheric BOV?

The aps dual vent bov seems pretty cool. it only vents to the atmosphere under high boost.
