Boost line Tap...manifold hose
So I'm using the intake manifold hose behind the alternator. I was wondering if this is a good place to tap for a boost measurment, I'm using it for my SBC-ID, I would use the BOV but the line will not reach.
Also the Blitz T-connector that came with the boost controller is too small for the hose. I was wondering if I could use teflon tape or something so the nipple could fit the bigger hose. Do you guys have any suggestions to fix this. I've also used clamps but then the hose leaks....

That line is fine. You can also tap into the fuel pressure regulator on the passenger side under the coolant tank. There is a short 3" piece of hose that you can "T" off of.

what about the teflon tape idea? has anyone used it before? would this create any problems. because the diameter of the tubing is reduced....???
does anyone have a picture of this other line under the fuel regulator. Don't really know my way around a REX...

Vacuume line is like .05 cents a foot. Go buy the correct sized line and do not mess with teflon tape. Also you can get correct sized "T" fittings at any autopart store or in the plumbing dept at a hardware store.
