Blitz vs Perrin (front-mount intercoolers)

Definately the Perrin. The Blitz is a cheap tube/fin design with average endtanks and serious design flaws. The Perrin is Bar/plate, good piping, and serious quality. In this case you get what you pay for, I'd get the AVO over both of them though.

Well, obviously it's all subjective to different people. But the differences in the compaines (AVO, Perrin, and Turbo XS) are very different. I submit AVO as one of the best WRX tuners in the world. Obviously there will be som argument about that, I'm prepared to defend that. But if you just look at the level of quality you should be able to see the differences. The AVO intercoolers are even powder-coated. But I'll just throw out a few items here. AVO started making products for grueling Austrailian rally races and brutal Japanese track events. They hardly advertise because the people that know about them buy their stuff, as do the race teams. It's one of those, you either want our stuff or you don't, we don't really care. Some people pay for quality, others don't. As for the Blitz front-mount. That's one step away from rice. It has to be one of the worst front-mounts out there for our cars, (along with the Greddy). It seems as if the older I get the more I do not like Blitz products ( in addition to liking my beer darker and darker lol). The Turbo XS is certainly not a bad front mount by any means. But for the same price (basically) I think the Perrin is better and the AVO is even better than that.

I like the fact that is doesn't require cutting, a JDM bumper beam is included in the price. You also get to retain the factory fog lights which I couldnt live without. Turbo XS is a very reputable and top quality tuner. Although they don't have a racing heritage, they have built very mean and powerful street driven cars with high quality products.

ARC also makes great products, in my opinion it's usually always the smaller shops that make the best products. ARC would be harder to find than even AVO however. I'm not sure on their availibility or even if they've made a kit for the WRX, they've primarily been skyline guys.

The Perrin was specifically designed for the 04 WRX. No other FMIC out there has been geared directly to this model like Perrin did. So if you are looking for something that won't need any modding or tweaking done then you should look here.
If you want one I have them in stock and ready to roll!
Let me know if I can help!
Thanks,
