Blitz Axelback Squeak

Anyone with only an axelback experiencing sqeaking after spirited driving? I have a Blitz Nur Spec axelback that I plan to eventually mate up with a TXS stealthback. In the meantime I seem to develop this temperature dependent squeak after freeway driving. The Blitz has slotted mounting holes and after the exhaust heats it moves from side to side causing embarrassing squeaking. This seems to happen no matter what the bolts are torqued to. I would really appreciate any ideas to prevent this until I can purchase the remainder of the exhaust system and have it all welded together.

i know what you mean about embarrassing squeaking. i have a cat back blitz exhaust and had the same problem. what you need is new exhaust hangers. i have kartboy exhaust hangers and it stopped squeaks in my car. they run about 35 to 40 a set of 4 hangers. good luck. peace

i have something very similar to this. but i have it on my stock exhaust. do you guys think its caused by the same thing?

Thanks for the input. Are the Kartboy hangers just stiffer than the stock ones? I will have to order some and give it a try.

Is it metal on metal contact? I would assume that you just need some sort of bushing between the bolt and the hanger and that would eliminate the sqeaking.

It is metal on metal. It is the stock flange moving against the blitz flange, I can tell because of the wear on the gasket.

Check your distance from exhuast hangars to the sway bar. I ended up wrapping old green water hose around the exhaust hangar to stop the annoying rubbing with the sway bar. No more squeaks.
