Better sound- Boxer engine or radio?
OK people, Ive had my WRX for two weeks today. So far I have spent way more time listening to the sound of four boxing pistons then to the stereo (which is also excellent). Does any one else find themselves doing this? I really love that sound as you downshift into second! MMMMMMM....sweet boxer goodness...aaarggghhhh!

I personally think the stereo sucks. I like the fact that there is a 6 disc in dash changer, but thats about it. The little speakers don't sound good at all and have no bass, but I fixed that problem with a pioneer deck and JL Audio Sub. As far as the engine sounds, you should hear what it sounds like with an intake, I have the AEM CAI and the whoooosh sound is awesome.

My last vehicle was a small Mazda pickup with a Cheap-O stereo with small cheap speakers and the Subaru sound system is Luxury compared to that........Sometimes I get the feeling that alot of the members on here have more money than I do and dont think twice about dropping big money for stereo stuff. IM old maybe my ears are shot anyways

I personally dont think the WRX radio is that bad. The car I just traded in had an all Rockford Fosgate/Kicker stereo so I know about really good stereo's. I dont feel like butchering this car so that I can disturb the whole neighborhood with the thump in trunk. It sounds good in the car and thats all I care about besides I'd rather spend the money on more POWER!

Like I keep saying (at only 21) to much loud music, loud cars and loud guns have shot my hearing pretty bad. Never ridden in a boxer motored car...but I think I might go out and see if I can't test drive a WRX. Yes @ U of Delaware, our spring break isn't until the first week of April.
