Question Back to stock 04 still wont rev past 5g

I only had a bov, mbc, cai on the car it stopped boosting past 8lbs. one day. I put the car back totally stock and it still wont rev past 5000, idle's like crap, and wont make more than 10 lbs. of boost at any rpm. I reset the ecu. Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks Tom

I found a boost leak on the intercooler fixed it the car ran fine for 2 min and started running like it hit a wall again. The problem is i hear the egt probe banging around in the up pipe still I dont know what damage it could do could it chew up the exhaust turbine on the turbo?

yes, it could damage your turbo. but the bigger problem is that your car ran hot enough to melt your EGT sensor. that was probably caused by the combination of the MBC and intake on a stock ECU.

i would suggest getting any check engine light codes read and getting a compression check. if you do take it to a dealership, let them know about your mods as they were most likely the cause of this and that will help them diagnose and fix the problem. don't be surprised if they deny any warranty claims due to the mods... you play, you pay.

with 17 psi your fuel would have cut off without a FCD or new computer. sure it was 17?

You should have searched before you put on that MBC and CAI. Your egt's were probably through the roof ,thats why you probably fried your cat in the uppipe. You probably won't notice any engine trouble right now but i bet your pistons are happy your back to stock. If the uppipe cat is the trouble i would get a catless uppipe and save for proper engine management. I had my stock uppipe on for 15k and 10k was with a cobb stage 2. I have had no troubles like this and i also have an 04'

Also 17psi with no extra fuel is crazy.

What should i expect if i go catless without the Utec, I'm sure the computer is not going to like it right. Alot of codes I would think?
