Autometer Boost Gauge
hey guys..im about to install my autometer [mechanical] boost gauge and i was wondering if i needed to get any extra parts..it came with the "T" fitting and nylon tube. i read that a lot of people get rid of the nylon tube and get a rubber hose for better accuracy...is this true or will the nylon tube work just as fine?

You shouldn't need anything else.
If anything I'd trust the rubber hose more than the nylon (simply because I've no idea what the nylon is capable of)
If you need a place to tap for power for the gauges lights....I went off the clock.
Also, to run the boost hose through the firewall, I used a metal wire hanger (unbent of course) and taped the boost line to the end. Pushed the hanger through from the engine bay, then went inside the car and pulled the hanger through.
hit me up if you need any advice...I've done this several times.

My guage was kind of slow in reacting so I went to the hardware store and got some ¼" nylon tubing with the right inserts and fittings. After upping from the included tube the ¼" tube, the reaction of the guage is instantaneous. Anyway, it also depends on where you pull your signal from. I tee'd off of the BOV at the intercooler. If you do up the size, then make sure that you get the insterts for the tube as regular compression fittings will just cut into the tube.
