well, you need to look at fitment, piping design(how smooth are the bends), and flow rate through the IC and if there is any pressure loss(doubtful on aftermart IC's since they are welded)

APS and Perrin both make excellen products, I would take a look at the reviews section here:
https://www.i-club.com/reviews/

As well as parts review on nasioc to help make your decision.

does the pressure loss happen cause of the additional volume to fill? I guess that makes sense. :P I'm still waking up.. need coffee.

your profile says '02 wrx soooo.

the aps 725 is too big.

the sr30 is good for about 340 hp
aps725 is for the 500-725 hp range( suited for 50-75 lb/min turbos)

i think it would be a better choice to go with the aps 525 with a range of 350-525 hp.(suited for 40-55 lb/min turbos)

I just looked at the Perrin FMIC. It's too big also.

^^^what he said. I think even the perrin might be a little too big for your application.

isn't pressure drop the opposite? like blowing through a toilet paper tube, it doesn't get high velocity thus reducing the cooling effect?

either way you have round things going in your mouth

i dont see how the pressure drops from high to low pressure with the toilet paper roll

i don't like round things in my mouth they taste funny

I thought the pressure dropped as it travelled through the I/C piping and that's why everyone tries to keep the piping length to a minimum.
