Imprezer... did you notice any power increase after you got the manifold extrude honed?? A friend of mine has a Mustang Cobra and those guys have been basically dremeling and sanding down the inside of their manifolds to make them completely smooth (the inexpensive way, although $250 isn't bad)... they've been gaining like 5-8whp.
I wonder if doing this to the WRX manifold would give the same results. I've never actually looked inside one so I don't know if this would even be possible. I'm sure they're similar in the fact that they're both cast (?) and have some very rough edges internally. THANKS!

oh well i did not feel like dealing with the holes on the factory tvg housings so i just bought some sti ones for $150 for both. cant wait till the get here.

The TGV plates and shats were completely removed, welded shut and then the TGV's were gasget matched. That was before I knew I could just get the STi ones. Oh well.
Gains from all that? Not sure. I have lots more done so cannot say what that alone did. I am sure it helped. The car IS a bit harder to start in the morhing then before though.

Wow Alex, that a pretty engine shot. Would you mind sending me a high res shot of that? Pm or email. Seems like the alt. belt runs awfly close to the inlet pipe.
