any difference btw EJ22 turbo and NA trannies?
Greetings-
Posted recently at USMB, but no replies -- figure this is more up the i-Club's alley. I have an EJ22 turbo car ('91 Legacy) with an auto tranny that's going bad. The Japanese engine importers around here are telling me that the turbo and normally-aspirated engine both use the same transmission, but I didn't think that was true. Does anyone know? If they're different, what's different? Are components more durable, or ???
Thanks!

All the same, I think
I've been digging around more on the 'web, and have found a couple of sites that call this the "R4AXEL" transmission, and indicate that it was in Legacies and Imprezas from '90 thru '97 (at least). I'm pretty sure different models had different final drives, however, and I wonder if there are sub-classes within the "R4AXEL" model...
