Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Any 18g 2.0L wrx's in the east bay area?

they do, the td05 will spool faster but have a lil less topend, probably good for a 2.0. not even worth it on a 2.5

heh, well thats subjective
Keep in mind the TD04 is going to be enough for alot of people with 06 wrxs, and many of them swapping up to an STI VF39 will keep them more than happy. Im putting down 296whp/305wtq on 91 on Gruppe-s with my TD05 20G on my STI, and so far its been my favorite turbo(Ive had 4 now) the TD06 20G is worth maybe another 5-10whp on 91 oct but spools noticeably slower, Ive heard from those who have ran both and while the TD06 is better on race gas, the difference on pump doesnt make the TD06 worth ot over the TD05, and thats on a 2.5, so that difference on a 2.0 will be even greater. As it sits, I dont think I would take a 20G over a 18G on a 2.0 for that same reason, I dont think your going to get enough more out of a 20G over an 18G on pump gas to make up for the added lag, unless your really looking forward to getting alot of use out a a race gas map, the law of diminishing returns really comes into effect when running bigger turbos on pump gas, you just have to find the ones that seem to be in the sweet spot for the size of yor motor/octane of gas.

If you're primarily gonna just run pump **** water, the 18G on a US 2.0L is probably the way to go.

standard 16G is rated at 510cfm at 1bar, which is already more than a VF34 is rated at, then it goes big 16G-550cfm, EVO 3 16G-575cfm, and the 18G at 605cfm. Honestly, any of the 16Gs is going to be sweet on a 2.0 and pump gas. From what Ive seen with people running 16gs and 18gs on pump I think I would take the big or EVO 16G at the most.

Thats pretty good for 91, thanks!

I'll be buying the 8CM 18g tomorrow if FP has it in stock. Going big for more headroom on 94 and 100 octane maps.

My final setup will be protuned AP, catless up, TXS turboback with cat, 3" axleback, TXS tmic, ic hoses, k&n typhoon intake, 750cc modded injectors and fuel pump.....

still debating if I want to swap out the cat with a race pipe and not sure if I should get a Perrin turbo inlet hose.

Well, I suppose you have solidified my decision to go with a big 16g, thanks
