After Market Cams???
#2
It depends on what car you are talking about and what you are doing with it. Please list your mods and intentions. Cams are always made for a purpose, low end, midrange, top end. Where do you need improvement? Assuming you have WRX, you don't need any until you start pushing 500 HP. Stock WRX cams are already pretty aggressive and have been proven to support in excess of 400 WHP.

Stock are bad!!!
I had a 96 EJ20G power plant installed in my car but the cams are bad. It is covered by the dealer so they will replace them. I was wondering if I should put some better ones in there I dont have to have Jun.
Current Mods
Chip ECU
HKS Up Pipe
3" Full exhaust catless
Cusco Clutch
Stabilizer bars Front and rear
Tower Bars Front getting Rear tomorrow
and I have a TD05H but that is stock on this engine
Also I wanna run my car on Highland Circuit I do not have the resources to make it super fast I just wanna make it more aggressive. I am looking for more mid range power.
I can get some really good cams for less than $700 but I was curious if this would help any or should I just go with stock.

I would try one of the STI cams, they seem to be setup for that type of racing. Also I would try a manual boost controller, they give you faster spoolup that really helps with midrange punch. Also you may want to have your turbo upgraded, have the exhaust housing ported and get 18 or 20 G wheel in the compressor, that should move you pretty good.
Also try to get your chip remapped to give you a little more timing in the midrange, that should get you going as well.

I would just get the heads built...STi valves, JUN springs and retainers, and Jun cams.
The only thing is that you will need to raise your redline to 8K. The STi stuff will bolt directly into the heads, so you could go that route.

Thanks for the info. I have a Greddy Profec B II already installed and I run a 1 bar on high boost I just forgot to post it. It was set by a Suby Specialist so its good to go. Looks like I am gonna have to go with the STi cams and Jun springs as far as the turbo goes I will have to wait. Pocket book only allows so much at one time. Military pay isn't that great.
Thanks again for all the usefull info I will post my HP numbers once I get it back and the chip remapped.
