It quits after about 5 minutes of driving. The dealer said its the tires.
The car is got about 10K miles ... and I do not remember it doing this before. Also, being in South Carolina and the peak of summer ... I find the "tire theory" suspect.
Anyone else seen this ?
Thx.

I've read allot of the posts and this seems to be a commom problem in the 2002 WRX's after about 7000 Miles. I just notice mine shuddering last month. You dealer should know about this and it's not the tires. One guy actually posted the technical bulletin from Subaru Japan to the dealers stating the problem.
There is a cure, but it's costly and time consuming for the dealer that's why he's giving you this B.S. tire story.
It has since been fixed at the factory for the 2003's
